Garden of rooms
Norfolk
Apart from surrounding trees and one yew hedge, this country garden was a blank slate. It is now defined by new mature hedging and walkways and features an ironwork ambulatory, a nut walk with wildflower planting below, a sunken pond surrounded by yew hedging, and vistas through an Acer avenue to fields beyond. Additional planting was implemented by Tom Stuart Smith. In June 2002, five years after planting, the garden was opened to the public.
