Metal mirror pools are bisected by a steel staircase that links the upper lawned terrace to the mid-level terrace. Here, a deck positioned beneath an established oak tree provides the perfect place from which to enjoy views down through the garden and to the landscape beyond. All the slopes are planted with massed perennials and grasses, inspired by American prairie planting, to provide textural and seasonal interest.
